The Norwegian Institute for Defence Studies is one of the largest Scandinavian institutions specialising in defence and security policy research. We are a department of the Norwegian Defence University College.

The institute conducts and publishes high-quality research on Norwegian and international defence and security issues. In addition to a number of books, the institute publishes two series; Defence and Security Studies and Oslo Files on Defence and Security.
